Privacy Policy | The Lifeline

The Lifeline is a nonprofit tool built to meet people in hard moments with Scripture, prayer, and the lifeline teaching from Mickey Mitchell. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign in, we store your email address and, if you provide it, a display name. Passwords are managed by our authentication provider and never seen by us in plain text.
What you tell the Lifeline. When you use the AI tool or radio show intake, we store the text or audio you submit so we can answer you and, in the case of the radio show, deliver your question to Mickey. Voice recordings are transcribed and shared with our founders by email.
Product usage. We log events (page views, taps, feature use, session duration) tied to a device identifier and, if signed in, your user id. This helps us understand which parts of the tool are helping people and which are not.
Donations. If you give, we store your name, email, amount, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers so we can send receipts, process recurring gifts, and issue tax paperwork. We do not store your card number; that lives with Stripe.
Push and email preferences. If you opt in to daily notifications, we store your device subscription and delivery preferences.

How we use your information

To provide the AI tool, radio show, prayer, and Bible study features.
To send daily prayers and Bible study reminders you opted into.
To process donations and send receipts and year-end tax records.
To improve the product and understand what is working.
To respond when you contact us.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers:

Stripe for payment processing. Card data never touches our servers.
Lovable Cloud for hosting, database, and authentication.
Brevo for email delivery.
ElevenLabs for the AI voice on the radio show intake.
Lovable AI Gateway for the AI answers in the Lifeline tool.

We do not sell your information. We do not share your prayer inputs or radio show recordings with advertisers.

Retention

We keep account and donation records for as long as your account is active or as required by tax and accounting law. Analytics events are retained in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time by writing to hello@thelifelinetool.com.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. If you are in the EU, UK, California, or another region with data protection laws, you have additional rights under those laws. Contact us and we will honor them.

Children

The Lifeline is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Crisis notice

The Lifeline is a spiritual resource, not a medical or emergency service. If you are in crisis, please call or text 988 (in the US) or your local emergency number.
