Refund Policy

Gifts to The Lifeline are charitable donations and are generally not refundable. That said, we are people, and we understand mistakes happen.
If you gave by accident
If you made a duplicate gift, entered the wrong amount, or believe the charge is unauthorized, write to give@thelifelinetool.com within 30 days of the charge. Include the date, amount, and the email on the receipt. We will review and, in most cases, refund the gift in full.
Canceling a monthly gift
You can cancel a recurring monthly gift at any time. Write to give@thelifelinetool.com and we will cancel the next scheduled charge. Past charges are not automatically refunded, but we will consider individual requests alongside the paragraph above.
Failed payments
If a recurring charge fails, Stripe will retry. We will email you if it keeps failing. No action from you is required to stop retries; Stripe stops on its own after a few attempts.
Tax receipts
Every successful gift generates an emailed receipt. Year-end summaries are sent to donors of record in January.
